It's the little things that confuse

No cardinals where I live but the robins are doing the same dance and singing the same song. It’s that time of year. And the hummingbirds are chasing each other around the feeder on my patio.

We wait for the robins to sing (signaling spring), and we don’t see any hummingbirds until its truly warm (but they are rare). Enjoy your birdies, the cardinals and woodpeckers are having a field day here!

My hummingbirds are here all year and they come and squawk at my window if I don’t refill the feeder fast enough. I was surprised by the robins but we are having a wet but mild winter.

They sound lovely, a very strong call. However, if you get too close to one of their nests, they will follow you and chirp harshly until you go away! I’ve been driven out of my yard by loud cardinals a few times!
